美國《BuzzFeed》近日刊出〈在美國媒體上可能見不到的曼德拉語錄〉（Nelson Mandela Quotes You Probably Won’t See In The U.S. Media），摘錄了曼德拉一些左傾甚至反美的言論。現譯成中文，以使更多讀者了解一個真實的曼德拉。
一，對巴勒斯坦建國：
曼德拉：「聯合國對種族隔離持強硬的反對立場，而且在過去這些年來，國際社會就此建立了共識，幫助了結束這個不平等的制度。但是我們非常明白，如果沒有巴勒斯坦人的自由，我們的自由就沒有實現。」
1. On a Palestinian state:
“The UN took a strong stand against apartheid; and over the years, an international consensus was built, which helped to bring an end to this iniquitous system. But we know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.”
二，對美國準備打伊拉克（2002年接受《新聞周刊》採訪）：
曼德拉：「如果觀察那些情形，你會得出這樣的結論：美國的姿態是對世界和平的威脅。」
2. On the U.S. preparing to invade Iraq in a 2002 interview with Newsweek:
“If you look at those matters, you will come to the conclusion that the attitude of the United States of America is a threat to world peace.”
三，對他的長期支持者利比亞獨裁者格達費：
曼德拉：「支持兄弟領袖（格達費）是我們的責任……尤其是關於那些（對利比亞的）經濟制裁，它不僅是打擊格達費，也是打擊利比亞人民——我們非洲人的兄弟姐妹。」
3. Mandela on Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, his longtime supporter:
“It is our duty to give support to the brother leader … especially in regards to the sanctions which are not hitting just him, they are hitting the ordinary masses of the people … our African brothers and sisters.”
四，對卡斯楚和古巴革命：

4. Mandela on Castro and the Cuban revolution:
“From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of
inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-or questrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution. … Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.”
五，對美國領銜的伊拉克戰爭：
曼德拉：「（美國布希先生）全部想要的就是伊拉克的石油。」
5. On the U.S. war with Iraq:
“All that (Mr. Bush) wants is Iraqi oil.”
六，對以色列：
曼德拉：「以色列應該撤出他們1967年從阿拉伯國家（戰爭）中贏得的所有土地，尤其是，以色列應該從戈蘭高地、南黎巴嫩、約旦河西岸全部撤出。」
6. On Israel:
“Israel should withdraw from all the areas which it won from the Arabs in 1967, and in particular Israel should withdraw completely from the Golan Heights, from south Lebanon and from the West Bank.”
七，對美國打伊拉克戰爭：
曼德拉：「如果說這個世界上有一個國家犯下了無法形容的暴行，這個國家就是美國。他們根本不在乎人命。」
7. On the U.S. war with Iraq:
“If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.”
